Curriculum Design<\/strong> Evaluates whether the institution&#8217;s curriculum is outcome-based, current, interdisciplinary, and aligned with industry and societal needs. Stakeholder participation in curriculum design is also assessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Faculty Resources<\/strong> Covers faculty qualifications, experience, faculty-student ratio, development programmes, and retention. Emphasis is placed on permanent faculty strength and continuous professional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Infrastructure<\/strong> Assesses physical infrastructure, learning resources, IT infrastructure, and library facilities available to support teaching, learning, and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Financial Resources &amp; Management<\/strong> Evaluates the institution&#8217;s financial health, resource allocation, and utilisation \u2014 ensuring adequate investment in academic and operational activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Process Attributes<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><em>(How the institution works \u2014 teaching, research, governance)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. Learning &amp; Teaching<\/strong> Assesses teaching methodologies, faculty-student interactions, continuous evaluation, assessment practices, and alignment with Outcome-Based Education (OBE). Includes pedagogy diversity, use of technology, and student feedback mechanisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6. Research &amp; Innovation<\/strong> Covers research output, publications, patents, innovation initiatives, and industry-academia linkages. From 2025, retracted publications attract penalties \u2014 making research integrity a scored parameter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7. Governance &amp; Administration<\/strong> Evaluates institutional leadership, organisational structure, transparency, decision-making processes, and compliance with regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8. Extended Curricular Engagements<\/strong> Assesses extracurricular activities, community outreach, sustainability initiatives (including green campus practices), cultural programmes, and student participation beyond academics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Outcome Attributes<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><em>(What the institution delivers \u2014 results, impact)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>9. Student Outcomes<\/strong> Measures graduation rates, placement performance, higher studies progression, competitive exam results, and the overall employability of graduates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>10. Sustainability Outcomes<\/strong> Evaluates the institution&#8217;s contribution to environmental sustainability, social impact initiatives, and alignment with national and global sustainability goals \u2014 including SDG-linked activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All attributes are evaluated using a combination of quantitative and qualitative metrics, categorised as <strong>Good, Concern, or Weak<\/strong> \u2014 replacing the old CGPA-based grading system. Data submitted is cross-verified against national databases such as AISHE, UDISE+, and NIRF, ensuring accuracy and integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In summary, NAAC&#8217;s revised framework reflects a significant shift \u2014 from compliance-based reporting to outcome-driven, continuous quality improvement.
